Kingston Volleyball Club: Our Junior Girls Team
Are you ready to take your skills to the next level? Join the KVC JR Girls club, a team of hard-working and dedicated players who believe that teamwork makes the dream work! This is where aspiring athletes get to experience a series of intensive training hosted by certified coaches.
You get the chance to play with a team of other talented girls in an established club. We have a full-sized court designed to fit international standards. If you are new to the sport, we have the right drills and techniques for you! Our club cherishes more than just being great at volleyball–we want to foster a community of learners and team players who support each other, no matter what level you are at.
Our KVC JR Girls club trains for 5-weeks with programmes designed to expose them to the mechanics of the sport. They also undergo a player development session where they learn how to move, lead, and cooperate with others. Our training includes strength, muscle conditioning, cardio, and flexibility exercises to gain better footing and power.
Rookies will be given basic modules about the vital techniques used in volleyball like:
- Forearm passing
- Overhead passing
Stamina and agility drills will be added to the later parts of the programme as we want to focus on the fundamentals during the first few sessions. Once members complete the 5-week programme, they can move forward to our competitive clubs if they wish.
Our head coaches are certified professionals who have years of experience in the field. They have trained winning teams across the country and aim to add the latest methods of safer and more effective training to our club members.
To be part of our KVC JR Girls club, each new member is subject to an $80 fee that is non-refundable. This is inclusive of equipment rentals, lockers, and uniforms. For any additional costs like an extra jersey or meals are not included.
